Mission Statement

Our mission is to inspire, educate, and enrich lives through elevating the level of training in and performance of classical ballet in Northern Ireland. 

HPYB’s mission is to raise awareness of the need for, and provide, more intensive pre-professional ballet training in Northern Ireland. We also advocate for the creation of a performing arts school which provides dancers with intensive ballet study and classes which they can attend without compromising academic achievement. 

We want to see our talented youth develop as dancers holistically through programs and dance forms accessible to all, with professional instruction, we want to give them opportunities to perform at a pre-professional level. In 2018 we were awarded Arts Council of Northern Ireland funding to start a pre-professional training programme which has since grown to become Northern Ireland's youth ballet company.

We also value persistence and dedication as fundamental to the success of the entire organisation. Inherent in that, we take responsibility for our own actions and are answerable to others.

We maintain high ethical and moral standards in personal and professional conduct. We value honesty and are committed to doing what is right to protect our students, staff, audiences, faculty, and stakeholders.

At the moment, we work in conjunction with private dance teachers and we are an advanced supplement to their private training. We strive to operate in accordance with the utmost integrity and the highest standards in all relationships. At High Points Youth Ballet CIC, we are committed to excellence, diligence, and inclusiveness among all affiliates.
